What is Godly Play?
The curriculum used for our church school is Godly Play© developed by Jerome Berryman.
Godly Play is a Montessori based approach that allows children to hear the stories of God and then enter into them by working with the story pieces. The intent is to give children the religious language – parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action – to help them become more aware of God’s presence in their lives.
Classes meet from 10:20-11:10 am on Sundays throughout the program year, September-May.
Family Fun Nites are held throughout the year. They usually consist of an event for the children and a pot luck dinner. These events include an All Saints Fun House, a Talent Show, and Bread Baking.
