The Fearless Tweens lived up to their name as they gathered outdoors on a cold and rainy afternoon this past Sunday on the heated, covered Calvary House patio. With the regular leaders out of town, Rev. Allison, Ms. Miriam (Miriam McKenney), and Raina Graham led the evening’s events, which centered on the ministry of Acolytes.

After an energetic game of Processional Cross Limbo, the tweens dove into wire cross making and a fun game of Acolyte Bingo. Acolytes Xander Berger and Peter Flanders got to share some of their expertise as acolytes at Calvary Church.

Each child was encouraged to think about how they want to offer their time to the ministry of the church– via acolytes or by doing something else for God’s glory that matches their enthusiasm and talents.

Looking ahead to this Sunday, we’ll be taking a trip down to the Mill Creek. I’ll send an email out shortly with all of the information you need about that, but as a reminder, we’ll be meeting directly after church (12:30) rather than our usual time so that we can catch as much daylight as possible!

Peace,
Reverend Olivia
