MAUNDY THURSDAY 4/14

7:00 p.m.
The Thursday in Holy Week is part of the three holy days leading up to Easter. On Maundy Thursday, we remember Jesus’ New Commandment, as well as the institution of the Eucharist. We gather to celebrate the eucharist, ceremoniously wash one another’s feet, and to strip the altar in preparation for Good Friday.

GOOD FRIDAY 4/15

Noon – Good Friday
At this traditional service of Good Friday, we hear the Passion Gospel, pray the Solemn Collects, and venerate the Cross of Christ.

6:00 p.m. – Stations of the Cross for Ukraine
For hundreds of years Christians have walked the Stations of the Cross, a sequence of 14 works of art or prayer spaces in which the steps of Jesus’ journey from judgment to the tomb are remembered. This Lent, we are also confronted by the catastrophic invasion of Ukraine. As a form of solidarity with all living in Ukraine and a prayer for their rescue, we offer tonight a form of the Stations of the Cross built from real-life stories of shock and horror in current-day Ukraine. Childcare will be provided.

7:00 p.m. Good Friday Liturgy – Set to moving instrumentation and song, we hear the Passion Gospel, pray the Solemn Collects, and venerate the Cross of Christ. Childcare will be provided.

HOLY SATURDAY 4/16

The Saturday after Good Friday recalls the day when the crucified Christ visited among the dead while his body lay in the tomb. There is no eucharist on Holy Saturday, rather we gather for a simple liturgy of the word with collect and readings.
