In September, Shannon Braun from Episcopal Retirement Services joined us for a Calvary Community Hour. In her presentation she shared helpful information and tools around Dementia Education and Awareness.
Dementia impacts 1 out of every 9 Americans over the age of 71. That statistic seems to prove true in our Calvary Community, where many parishioners are caring for loved ones or facing this disease themselves.
There was a vested interest in continuing to explore the impact of dementia on our lives and those around us. Shannon Braun will return on Sunday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. to Calvary Community Hour as we host a roundtable discussion on the impacts of dementia and compassionate, educated responses.
