It’s “back-to-school” time for many in the city and at Calvary Parish. Along with children returning to school, Calvary is preparing to return to our regular programming – from adult formation to youth group to Sunday school.
We also were hit as a community this week with the news of the unexpected death of Tom Bible. As we work through the grief of losing him, I am inspired by his life and legacy. Tom was the epitome of faithful lay leader in the church.
One gift of my recent sabbatical was a focus at Calvary on the many talents of lay people in the church. You’ll find many offerings this fall are supported or led by fellow members of the church with incredible expertise and talents.
Check out our digital brochure “Growing in Faith.” If you see something a friend might like to know about, send it via e-mail or pick up one of a handful of paper copies that will be available at church.
Together we are growing in faith at Calvary. And as we grow and experience the changes and chances of this life together, the more our community and world experiences the hope of being “confident in God’s love, fearless in our love for all.”
