On Tuesday evening, around 50 members of Calvary gathered for a feast filled with fun takes on traditional Shrove Tuesday foods and an evening of joyful celebration. After all had been served dinner, Rev. Olivia led the group in a fun-filled trivia game and other group games.

The party continued as the Forget-Me-Not Dancers, led by parishioner Steve Percer, offered a set of traditional period dancing. A variety show followed, including some of our Fearless Tweens playing piano and cello, telling jokes, and doing magic tricks.

The evening concluded at dusk as the crowd gathered outside and we burned the dried palms of Palm Sunday to create the ashes for Ash Wednesday. As the sun rose on Wednesday morning, a day of reflection and fasting began with the first of three offered Ash Wednesday services.
