by | Oct 14, 2026 | Come to the Table, Grow Outwardly

Our gifts make room at the table for others.

Every Sunday, we come to Christ’s table alongside people whose stories we may not yet know.
Here are some of our voices from our pews.

When did you first feel like you belonged at Calvary?

Very quickly. Sept. 1988.

Who made you feel welcome here?

The rector, Chotard Doll.

What was the moment you realized, “This is my church”?

Very soon after we started attending. We tried several Clifton churches & this felt just right.

Tell us about a worship service or song that stayed with you all week.

“Earth & All Stars” #412.

When have you most deeply experienced God’s presence in worship?

In the Eucharist.

Why does our work in the community matter to you?

It helps others & maintains a connection with those outside our church.

Tell us about a time you saw God’s love through one of Calvary’s ministries.

El Hogar. Visiting & working to sustain the mission of God’s work in Honduras was soul changing.

How has Calvary shaped your family?

Our 2 adult children feel comfortable in church.

Why is it important to invest in the next generation?

A combination of tradition & faith help to enhance our world.

What gives you hope about Calvary’s future?

Hope comes from the enthusiasm for worship & community building activities.

Why do you give to Calvary?

When one loves, one gives.

What makes Calvary worth investing in?

The entirety of what Calvary is through the good times & the rough patches. There is a heartfelt connection that goes beyond words

Come to the Table. Be part of what God is doing at Calvary.
