(soprano scholar since September 2021)

When not singing at Calvary Church, what makes up your current life and pursuits (including hobbies or other interests)?
Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Music degree at CCM, which is my priority. I am also a server at a restaurant: Emery, which is in Mariemont. Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading, playing an occasional video game, calling my friends, and of course, loving my two cats, Toby and Gopher. Every now and then, I love trying a new hobby!

Where was your birthplace?
I was born in Overland Park, KS, a suburb of Kansas City. I have lived in Oklahoma and Missouri, but currently I am residing in Wichita, KS.

Do you have a particular memorable highlight or two from your time at Calvary Church?
I want to say my highlight of Calvary is the very first rehearsal I had with the Calvary Choir. I knew in an instant that Calvary had a strong community, and I was beyond impressed and excited for how the rehearsal went. The weather was perfect outside, the acoustics of Hannaford Hall were great, and Howard’s attitude really shaped a beautiful rehearsal.

Please complete this sentence: “In five years, I hope to____?”
In five years, I hope to have a full-time job and feel comfortable with myself and where I am.

…and: “In fifteen years, I hope to____”
In fifteen years, I hope to have traveled several countries, learn languages, explore new hobbies, find a spot where I am comfortable, and possibly have a dog along with cats.

If you could be another animal (or a plant!) instead of a human, what would you be?
I’m going to be easy: I would either be a cat or possibly a redwood tree!

You have been given the remarkable opportunity to invite five people (from any location and time period in world history) to a casual dinner party you will host. Who is on your invitation list?
An experience I would like to have is to invite my best friend Ryleigh, my partner Nora, my friend Alex, and my brother Max for a casual dinner party. I know that is four people, but I know this would be a great dinner!

If you could take an item of yours to the Antiques Roadshow, what would it be?
I would take my Nautica puffer coat. It was my aunt’s!

NOTE: Everyone is warmly invited to Cade’s senior CCM recital, which will be at Calvary Church, on Tuesday, April 8, 7:30pm. A reception will follow in the Discipleship Center.

Choral Scholars at Calvary provides talented singers, often from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music at UC (CCM), with funding to support their musical development while enriching the church’s worship through high-quality choral singing.
