Saturday’s organ concert at Calvary was a delight to the ears and joy to the heart. Organist Greg Zelek played the concert of a virtuoso, bringing life to familiar pieces. His arrangements of classic piano pieces for organ captivated all in the audience. Zelek played the entire 90-minute program by memory.
Sandy Martin commented, “One does not hear a recital better than Greg Zelek played anywhere by anyone. He was most complimentary about the instrument, giving detailed comments regarding its tonal capacity, color stops and other strengths. The new equipment on the console made registering the pieces much easier for him.”
We give a hearty thank you to Sandy Martin for his generosity in enhancing Calvary’s organ. Both the life of worship is enhanced, as well as our outreach of outstanding music offered to the greater community.
